ED-Z-IM are non-protective electric detonators of low sensitivity to wandering currents, charges of static electricity and mechanical effects. They are designed for initiating charges while blasting workson the surface and also in mines and pits which are not danderous for dust or gas. They can be used in return for electric detonators of ED-Z-N and ED-1-Z-T. In comparision with ED-Z-N ED-Z-IM possess high resistance to electric effects. In comparision with ED-1-Z-T provide opportunity of detonating from autonomous blastic devices of a great number of articles.

   ED-Z-IM electric detonators are divided into tree types by intervals between normal delay times:

• ED-Z-IM-K - with intervals between nominal delay time 25-50 ms 15 series of delay;
• ED-Z-IM-S - with intervals between nominal delay time 100-250 ms 17 series of delay;
• ED-Z-IM-D - with intervals between nominal delay time 500-1000 ms 16 series of delay.
